    Colorado trip.

Yeah.  I promised.  So here is the rundown on our trip.  We got up even before the chickens a week ago Thursday and got to the airport about 5'ish to check in for our flight to Denver.  This is the first time we have flown anywhere since 9/11.  Honestly.  We just haven't flown since  they made all the new rules.  However, like the responsible people we are, we went to the TSA web page to make sure what we could and couldn't do.  We must have done well because we made it through security with no problems (except hubby forgetting to empty his pockets and take off his belt - which set off the alarm as he walked through).  We both packed light since we knew we could wash clothes at BIL and SIL's house if need be (which we did do).  It was a good thing because with all the STUFF we bought, we needed the room on our return.  Also, we did NOT check any baggage so there was no waiting for baggage on our arrival.  I wasn't worried about it being lost since we were on a direct flight.  But it was just easier to carry on our luggage.

We just hung out at the house with BIL and SIL our first day.  They were watching two of their granddaughters so it was good to just chill and visit.  Bright and not TOO early Friday morning we headed to Breckenridge.  I had never been there.  Hubby slept most of the way.  I didn't.  There was too much beautiful country to see.  I absolutely loved Breckenridge.  They have had lots of rain lately and the flowers were just beautiful.  We shopped to our little heart's content, had lunch at a great Mexican restaurant, then headed home.

I did manage to convince my SIL that I was kitchen deprived and would she PLEASE let me help her cook.  I had a blast helping to prepare meals after that.  BIL and SIL don't eat out much and we really enjoyed that!!  We DID take them out to dinner at a VERY nice upscale steak place before we left as a thank you for having us.  The food was wonderful and I think they enjoyed being treated to a special dinner.

We made a couple of trips to a HUGE outlet mall not far from their house.  It took most of the day, and we also went back a couple of days later so I could get a few things at the **Chico's** outlet.

Hubby and I enjoyed Breckenridge SO much that we borrowed SIL's vehicle one day and returned for the day.  We did some more shopping and ate at the Mexican restaurant once again.  On the way home we stopped at an RV park we had seen along the way into Breckenridge.  It was the BEST RV park I have ever seen.  Hands down!  It is privately owned pads that they rent out.  It had the most amenities and was the cleanest place we have ever seen.  We kinda think we'd like to return next year with our RV and camp there.

Long story short, we saw lots of beautiful country, had such a wonderful visit with family, and truly enjoyed our vacation.  I am gonna post an album of pictures for ya'll to see.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!  Hugs to you!

    05 August

    Home again, home again,

Jigetty jig!  Yay!  We made it home even though we flew on that turboprop.  Actually, the flight home was much smoother than the flight out to Denver.  We had a marvelous time.  I wish that my BIL and SIL lived closer.  We had a great time with them.  That is truly God's country out there.  I will be writing more and trying to post some pictures this weekend.  I am tired right now and am heading for bed.  I just wanted ya'll to know we made it home safe and sound.

I'll be back soon with more....

    Hugs!
