We fly out of here tomorrow for Denver, Colorado.  I have worked my tushie off this week to prepare.  We farmed out and got watchers for our dogs.  My bag is all packed and I am ready to go.  Can't wait to spend some family time with hubby and his brother, sister-in-law and nephews, along with their wives and kids. 

Fun times will be had I am sure.  I am NOT taking my laptop.  With all the airline regs which I understand, but they are a pain, I just don't want the aggravation.  So.  You all play nice while I am gone and I will let you know when I get back next week.

Pray for me.  I am flying those small jets.  They scare the bejeebers out of me, but they had DIRECT flights!!  So, off I shall go into the wild blue yonder.

Thirteen years ago today I married my wonderful hubby!!  We have had a LOT of ups and downs in our 13 years, as all marriages do.  We have had lots of good times, we have had a few bad times, lots and lots of happy times, and some really sad times.  But I know one thing for certain.  I am a VERY blessed and lucky woman to have married such a wonderful person.  And, if I had it to do all over again.....I would, in a heart beat!!

Thanks B for 13 years!  Sometimes you deserve a medal for putting up with me.  Don't think I don't know that, and I appreciate it.

It is a lovely morning here.  It is not too hot yet and the sun is shining.  Hubby is on his way to the lake for a little while to play on the water with the Waverunner.  I am sitting here at home with my doggies.  Actually, I am referreeing the two dogs.  My weimie, who is really pitiful right now due to some surgery, is trying to sneak up and eat Piper's food.  It's not like I am starving Jasmine or anything.  She already HAD her breakfast.  It is just that she likes to sneak Piper's food also. 

I have a lot of errands I really SHOULD be running.  Am I??  Not yet.  I must go get a birthday cake.  Yesterday was my Daddy's 87th birthday (wooooohoooo - yaaayyy Daddy!!) and today is my niece's birthday.  Tomorrow early we are driving over to my sister's and will have a big birthday dinner and celebrate.  I am to bring the cake.  Since I can't BAKE one, I must BUY one.  Which is okay.  I like cake.  Any kind of cake. 

Also, I must run by Petco and get the glucosamine that I give to Jazz for her joints.  They truly do help her, so I always make sure to never run out of them.

Finally, I am going to go have my eyebrows waxed.  I have fallen quite short in keeping up with that task and they look horrible!!  Hopefully, my usual spa will have a slot to do that for me.  I would like to have a pedicure, but am trying to save my "fun" money for our trip to Colorado next week.   I gotta make sure I have plenty of shopping money so my sister-in-law and I can shop.  We leave Thursday before the chickens rise and will be in Denver by about 8:00 a.m.  So, we will have a good, full, almost week with hubby's brother and sister-in-law.  I hear we are going to get to see the two nephews and their families.  I am SO looking forward to this trip.  Although I usually like to go to the beach, we have been promising for YEARS to get to Colorado to visit the fam.  I finally told hubby we just need to DO IT!!  I think his bro had pretty much given up on us ever actually making it there.  He and hubby have been trading e-mails about what we want to do while there.  I am not sure what we will do, I just know it will be nice hanging with family.  My sister-in-law is precious and I really look forward to spending time with her.

Oh, Oh!! I almost forgot!  Monday is hubby's and my 13th anniversary!   I am kinda hoping we can make it to Joe's Crab Shack for some dungeoness crab legs.  Their BBQ ones are really tasty.  If we can't go there, we will probably go to Charlstons since we have a gift card for there.  A bit of their bread pudding in celebration of our years together wouldn't be a bad thing at all!  :)  It just doesn't seem like we've been married that long.  Actually, we have been together for 16 years as we dated for about 3 years before marrying.  Anywho, I am blessed to have such a wonderful husband!

Hi all (everyone who might still be hanging with me even though I have been horribly absent)!  I thought I would take a few moments and catch you all up with what's been going on in the BBB household.

First things first.  What is UP with this new commercial I have seen twice.  Have you seen it???  I thought I had landed and was on some kind of spoof show.  But NOOOOO.  It's real.  Who in the heck is really gonna buy, cannot live without, wants to display it in their home or office, send one to friends and family.....wait for it.

THE CHIA OBAMA!!  I KID you NOT!  You too can be the proud owner of the CHIA OBAMA!  This is the most ridiculous thing I have seen in.....well I don't know how long.  Maybe my whole life.  Just spread the special "Chia seeds" on Obama's head, water, and watch it grow!!  Are you KIDDING me?  People really buy these??

K.  I'm done with that.

I thought I would also let you all know that I am (knock on wood) doing really well right now healthwise.  If some of you may remember, I took a spill and cracked open the ol' head.  Kat had asked to see the shoes I was wearing, which I shall never wear again.  Well here they are:

We got to go camping over the 4th of July.  Actually, hubby had to take the RV up to the park the Sunday beFORE the 4th and drop it and pay for a whole WEEK just so we could get a spot.  And a fine spot it was.  We left the Wednesday before the 4th after I got off work and stayed through Sunday after the 4th.  It was a lovely time except for the heat.   We did get a nice break with a little rain and cooler weather (actually a virtual COLD front considering how hot it's been).  The camp had campers in every single nook and cranny of the place.  Most everyone was really nice.  We took the Waverunners out on Thursday and had a lot of fun riding them around.  Come Friday....you guessed it.  MINE QUIT!!  So, for the rest of the weekend we had to ride double on hubby's or take it out separately.  Bummer!  However, we are now looking for a small pontoon boat.  We are going to take our time and find a good buy.  Piper really got into the camping with us.  She found her a spot on the couch with me.  Take a look:

I had a couple of blankets on the end of the couch and she just crawled up and made herself at home.  She's not spoiled at ALL.  Nope.  Nuh uhh.  :)

The only disruption of the weekend by people who were obscenely drunk (and I know of what I speak because I used to GET pretty drunk in my younger, wilder days), came on the 4th in the afternoon.  All of the adults on this party barge were stinking drunk (and driving a boat -- a REAL no no!!).  They had TWO babies....and I am talking pretty small babies on the boat.  That is even MORE of a no no.  They pulled into the cove where our camp was and promptly ran over the floats of the neighbors who were camping just across the road from us.  Mind you, hubby and I were sitting outside and watching all this.  Luckily the neighbors' boys jumped off and weren't hit.  First the Dad went out and talked to the people and asked them to please move a ways away so their boys could get back out in the water.  That didn't work, so Mama went out there.  This woman is like a Mama bear protecting her cubs.  Needless to say it got ballistic.  The "f" bombs were flying left and right and the people cranked up their music to deafening volume.  So, our neighbors get in the car and leave.  I told hubby they were probably getting the park ranger.  BINGO!!  Not too long after they got back, the park ranger hailed these people out of the water to have a "discussion".  Well, these idiots were SO drunk, there was no reasoning with them.  He made them leave (and reported them to lake patrol to handle and hopefully arrest!!).  Well, they left all right.  All the while flipping the ranger and our neighbors off and blaring their music and cussing like sailors.    Nice people, huh???  They threatened to come back and whoop the neighbors' tails, and since these people were tenting, they were a little uneasy.  Can't say as I blame them.

Other than that, we had a great time camping.  I got to read a new book I had gotten and just got to kind of "veg" out.  Yaaayyy!!

I guess the neighbor guy is back ON again to work on our kitchen.  I will believe it when I see it.  I'm just sayin....

Well, I guess I am gonna run on outta here for now.  I have been cruising ya'lls blogs.  I just haven't been too good about my own.  I hope everyone is doing well and beating the heat.  We are preparing for a trip to Denver to see my brother-in-law and sister-in-law.  I can't wait to get there and perhaps to some cooler weather.
