Yeah.  I love that old Beatles song.  Old being the operative word here.  And yes.  It is my birthday today and I officially, according to Taco Bueno, Government census and certainly 20somethings, become a "senior citizen".   I am turning, as my Dad would say, "double nickles"!  I can't drive 55, but I am 55 today.  Woofreakin' hoo!!  Another birthday and a milestone at that!!

Hubby took me to dinner last night and it was wonderful.  If you all don't have a Red Rock Canyon Grill, well, I feel bad for you because their food is wondermous!  We got our usual dinner called, appropriately:  Cluck and Oink!  That, my friends, would be ribs and smoked chicken.  Both served in huge proportions along with garlic mashed potatoes and glazed carrots.  Yummmmm!  I even had one premium bloody mary (which comes with a HUGE shrimp skewered with two jalapeno stuffed olives and cherry tomatoes.)  Yummmm again I say!  Hubby and I always split the entrees because they give you SO much food.  And, also because I have to have dessert on my birthday.  And what could be better than a whopping huge piece of key lime pie which was served with a baseball sized dollop of fresh whipped cream!  I had to have a "go box" because we could not eat all of the pie!! 

The boss man and his admin in our other office are supposed to take me to lunch today.  Woohoo!  More celebration. 

THEN, Sunday, I get to have birthday lunch with the bestie, who as you remember is the best friend in the whole world, who also shares my birthday, and our friend RL, who is also a "Junie".  It is a long and wonderful tradition and I am so thankful to have these two LOOOOONNNNGGG time friends!

So, that is it for now.  I gotta go to work.  I am doing well healthwise right now.  Can I hear another "wooohooo" for that?  I am most thankful right now and definitely blessed!

Today is one of the best and prettiest days I have lived in a long time.  The weather has been great today.  I have felt GREAT today for the first time in a long time.  Hubby and I have just been hanging out together.  He took me for breakfast, we took Piper to the vet and got her shots, then we put her up and headed out to the Lavender Festival in a small town just south of us.  A couple from this area did much study and research and found that Lavender grows just as well here as it does in France.  The smell of the fresh growing lavender was lovely.  They also have a winery as well.  So people were buying lots of lavender and lavender products and lots of wine.  After that, we went to one of our new fave restaurants and had a late lunch.  Now, we are just kicking back at home.

Last night we went to a couples Pampered Chef party that our daughter threw.  It was a nice evening.  I love Pampered Chef and have TONS of it which I still can't use right now, but I am NOT going into that.  One of the things the PC rep prepared as part of the show was a ginger/lemontini.  It was heavenly.  It had citrus vodka in it, but I drank it any way.  You put a scoop of mixed flavors of sherbet in the glass then poured the "tini" over it.  Yum yum!!  I bought several of the new items PC had to offer.  I have had such good luck with everything I have ever bought from them, so why not buy more??

Oh, and I met "Adonis" last night.  Seriously.  There were a number of couples at this party and one of them was a guy named Adonis.  Who in the heck names their kid Adonis??  To his credit, the guy wore the name well.  At first I thought maybe the guys were teasing when they called him that, but when we had to go around and give our names for the PC rep, sure enough, his name was Adonis.  He was there with his petite and very cute wife.  I could NOT tell you what HER name was though.  I am gonna have to ask our kids where they came to befriend Adonis.  Inquiring minds must know!!

On Monday night, I got to have dinner with several of my sorority sisters from my college days.  It was quite fun to see how everyone was doing and to kind of catch up on each other's lives.
